One of the best things about Android is the ability for manufacturers to make phones that fit into anybody’s life. While some people want 2GB of memory and others want dual-cores. You can find just about anything you are looking for in the Android device ecosystem.
In the Philippines a company called Cherry Mobile is releasing a very competitive low-mid range phone for a whopping $99USD! While the phone does use a lower resolution screen it is equipped with dual-SIM, dual-core Snapdragon S4 processor, and even includes a microSD slot with a capacity of 32GB.
Cherry Mobile has really raised the standards bar for what a low-mid range phone should run and cost. The phone is expected to hit stores mid-november, running a non-skinned version of Android 4.0. Whilst it’s only been announced for the Philippines so far it’d be brilliant if a pre-paid carrier or MVNO would pick this up, you could buy one for the phone you take on nights out and never care about breaking it! Costing only $99USD will the Cherry Mobile Flare make it into your stockings?
