Featured: AOKP Releases Milestone 1 for Jelly Bean, Last Release until Android 4.2

One of the most popular custom ROMs out there just got another update. Last Sunday night they pushed out Build 5, tonight they are churning Milestone 1 out for all of us flashaholics. Now the team has also said this will be the last build until Android 4.2 comes out. While it’s sad, it’s also understandable. Since Android 4.2 could be announced any day now, or whenever Google reschedules their event that was due to happen tomorrow in New York City.

So what changes are in AOKP Milestone 1? Not a ton of changes, but you know AOKP can’t release an update without changes.

  • Adjustable NavBar width for Tablets
  • Allow “Vibrate on Touch” behavior for Slide unlock
  • Toggles can be hidden like in ICS – long press on the Settings button!
  • Clickable (short & long configurable) Clock and Calendar in the Notification Slider

AOKP has also added some more new devices to their supported list:

  • Adjustable NavBar width for Tablets
  • Allow “Vibrate on Touch” behavior for Slide unlock
  • Toggles can be hidden like in ICS – long press on the Settings button!
  • Clickable (short & long configurable) Clock and Calendar in the Notification Slider

Milestone 1 is available for all supported devices but at the time of writing this only the Galaxy Nexus’, Nexus S’, Nexus 7 and Verizon Galaxy S3 are available for download. You can check the site later tonight or tomorrow for the rest of the builds. Don’t forget to flash gapps, or you if you’re coming from build 5, you can just flash those. They are the same gapps.

Happy Flashing! Let us know what you think of Milestone 1 in the comments below.
