It feels like it’s been a long time since we last heard from the next big thing from Samsung but it’s finally on its way to America, the Galaxy Note II is now available from the big carriers. Whilst we covered the price of the T-Mobile Galaxy Note II – which is available right now, cheaper at Wirefly – recently it’s now available for pre-order on both AT&T and Verizon. If you’ve forgotten what the massive phone packs inside itself then here’s a quick refresher:
- 1.6Ghz Quad-Core Exynos Processor
- 2GB RAM
- 5.5″ Super AMOLED HD Display at 1280×720
- 16 to 64GB Storage with microSD slot
- Android 4.1.1 Jelly Bean
- S-Pen Features
- 8MP rear-facing camera with 1.9MP front-facing
- 3100 mAh Battery
So, that’s one hell of a phone and at the price of $299 on a 2 year contract it certainly wants to be one hell of a device. On AT&T you can only get your hands on the “Titanium Grey” model of the Note II and will ship for November 6th, in time for the Network’s larger launch of November 9th.
Whereas over at Verizon you can pre-order the device but it’s listed as not shipping until November 26th which is quite a bit more of a wait but, good things come to those who wait we suppose:
Don’t forget though, that the Verizon features quite possibly, the WORST form of carrier branding in the world: the Verizon logo on the home button. I’m very disappointed in Samsung for letting this happen, it’s worse than the tramp stamp on the back of these phones and it’d seriously offend me if I owned one but, then again, we’re not surprised by anything Verizon does these days are we?
