Featured: Galaxy Tab 2 10.1 with LTE Coming to Sprint Soon

It’s always nice to see a tablet come to carriers and whilst I’m sure a lot of you wish it were the Galaxy Note 10.1 I’m afraid you’ll just have to make do with the Tab 2 10.1. It’s not the best tablet out there by any means but it will serve everyday life really nicely and the new design might stop people asking “what iPad is that” however, I wouldn’t count on it. You’ve probably heard a lot about the Note 10.1 already but, in case it passed you by – I totally understand – then here are the specs for this mid-to-high range tablet:

  • Android 4.0, Ice Cream Sandwich
  • 1.5GHz dual-core processor (Qualcomm MSM8960 chipset)
  • 10.1-inch WXGA PLS TFT 1280 x 800 display
  • 7,000mAh Lithium-Ion battery
  • 1GB RAM, 8GB ROM and microSD card slot supporting up to 64GB memory card
  • 3G/4G LTE mobile hotspot capability supporting up to 10 Wi-Fi enabled devices simultaneously
  • AllShare Group Cast lets the user share a presentation or photo album in real time with multiple friends on the same Wi-Fi network
  • Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n

It’s interesting to see that Face Unlock is present here as I’m sure it’d make a lot more sense to people on a tablet than it would on a phone however, there’s little in the way of details from Sprint just yet. That means there’s no word on pricing or just exactly when you’ll be able to get your hands on the device but, when those details do come out we’ll keep you informed.
