How many devices currently on the market have Android 4.1 – Jelly Bean? I mean devices you can go and purchase right now. Yeah not that many, other than the Nexus devices, there’s only the Galaxy S3 in Poland. So seeing a Jelly Bean device from Huawei is something we like to see. Now here in the US, Huawei is not all that popular. They are mostly on MetroPCS and maybe a few other no-contract/pre-paid carriers.
Huawei has a new device that’ll cost $220 and its currently only confirmed to launch in Brazil right now. It has some nice specs as well for such a low price:
- 4-inch display at 800×480 resolution
- 1.2 GHz dual-core processor
- 512MB of RAM
- 1730mAh battery
- Android 4.1 – Jelly Bean
That’s all we officially know for specs at this time. Although I wouldn’t expect more than 4-8GB of internal storage and larger than a 5MP camera on the back. Although I could be wrong, so don’t quote me on this. But a $220 phone with these kind of spec’s is a pretty good price in my opinion.
