Featured: LG's Mid-Range Optimus L9 To Be On T-Mobile

With us just covering LG’s announcement that the Optimus G will arrive on AT&T and Sprint, someone we’re familiar with, @evleaks on Twitter, posted a photo of the Optimus L9 which happens to have T-Mobile branding. Wonder who will carry it…

While not featuring such rockstar specs as the Optimus G which has a quad-core Snapdragon S4 Pro processor and 2GB of RAM, it looks to offer plenty of performance for the average user who’s not looking to break the bank. No other details as far as pricing and release date have been leaked yet, but as with a lot of the announcements lately, we’re likely looking at it coming here very soon and with a possible price around $99 on a two year contract.

On to the specs…

  • 4.7-inch IPS Display
  • 1GHZ dual-core processor
  • 1GB RAM
  • 4GB internal storage with microSD card support up to 32GB
  • 5 megapixel rear-facing camera
  • VGA front-facing camera
  • DLNA, 4G (?)
  • 2,150 mAh battery
  • Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich

What’s interesting is that LG has put a just slightly larger battery in the L9 than they did in the Optimus G (2,100 mAh) which has a quad-core processor and double the RAM. We’re not sure exactly the reasoning for that, but one would think the higher performing phone would get a bigger battery. Oh well.
