Today Rogers has turned on LTE in 18 new markets through out Canada. With the addition of these markets, Rogers has just about met their goal of covering 60% of Canadians by the end of 2012. It’s always nice to see carriers ahead of schedule on updates like LTE. So here are the lucky markets in Canada that get to experience that blazing fast LTE speeds:
- British Columbia: Victoria, Abbotsford, Kelowna
- Alberta: Edmonton
- Saskatchewan: Saskatoon and Regina
- Ontario: St. Catharines/Niagara, Oshawa/Pickering/Ajax, Windsor, Sudbury, Kingston, Oakville, Burlington, Hamilton, London, Kitchener, Waterloo, Cambridge and Barrie
- Quebec: Quebec, Sherbrooke and Trois-Rivieres
Rogers also promised over the summer that we would see 28 cities with LTE coverage the year is out. So we should be getting a few more markets and expansions in the next couple of months. Any Rogers customers out there with a LTE device getting some LTE coverage now? What kind of speeds are you seeing?
