Featured: Samsung Galaxy Music becomes official

When Samsung revealed the list of devices that would be getting the Jelly Bean update, we saw a few devices on the list we hadn’t heard of. Those included the Galaxy Chat and the Galaxy Music. We’ve seen rumors over the past few weeks about the Galaxy Music. And today it’s been made official. It’s a small device with speakers on the top and bottom of the screen. Here are the specs:

  • 3-inch display at 320×240 pixels
  • 900/2100MHz 3G bands
  • 512MB of RAM
  • 4GB of on-board storage, expandable to 32GB via micro SD Card
  • 1,300mAh battery

So it’s not something that the most of us would buy for ourselves. Perhaps Samsung is looking to get to the teenagers that listen to music all day long and do nothing else with their phones. It appears the Galaxy Music is part Galaxy Player and part budget phone.

Samsung didn’t mention availability or Pricing. Also Samsung is hosting an event on October 11th in Frankfurt, Germany, where the Galaxy S3 mini is due to be officially announced. Maybe the Galaxy Music will make an appearance there as well.

Any thoughts on the Galaxy Music? Worth buying it or not?
