It seems as if Samsung has been very busy these past few days. Just yesterday it was reported that Samsung has started mass production on a new wireless charging module that is 40% thinner than current modules on the market. As well as Samsung has been rumored to be updating the Galaxy S3 to Jelly Bean in the coming months, and Sprint’s version possibly even sooner!
Some lucky owners of the unbranded Galaxy S3 in the UK have already been updated to Jelly Bean 4.1.1. However, attention seems to be focused on the next update of Jelly Bean 4.1.2. This update has already rolled out to the Galaxy Nexus, Nexus S, and the Nexus 7. While for the phones it mostly just added stability and speed enhancements, the Nexus 7 also got the ability for the home-screen to be used in landscape mode. Now it appears that Samsung is adding in some more love for their TouchWiz fans.
Samsung is rumored to be adding the Galaxy Note 2’s great feature multi-windows to the Galaxy S3. If you’re unaware the Galaxy Note 2 allows for Android to really show off it’s true multitasking abilities by allowing two apps to run side-by-side each other on the screen. Although for some applications this feature isn’t working too well. With the popularity of the Galaxy S3 I’m sure it is only a matter of time before the developers add support for this feature. For now you can expect Google and Samsung made apps to work amazing well, although at time you might feel just a bit cramp for screen space.
However, with the feedback with from the multi-window support on the Galaxy Note 2, I am sure this will add another reason to the growing list of why a Galaxy S3 is a phone well worth buying.
