This morning Huawei announced their competitor to the HTC J Butterfly, and the Oppo Find 5. Looks like Huawei had more than just the Ascend Honor 2 up it’s sleeve to be on it’s way in the coming months, as the Ascend D2 is now official with some amazing specs.
- 5-inch display, edge-to-edge
- 1.5GHz quad-core CPU
- 13MP rear-facing camera, 1.3MP on the front
- 3,000mAh battery
- Android 4.1 – Jelly Bean
I’d have to say the best part of these specs is the edge-to-edge display. So far we’ve only seen that done by Motorola on their Droid Razr M for Verizon. Hopefully we see more of that from other manufacturers for other carriers soon.
Any guesses on pricing for this 5-inch Huawei Phablet? What about the resolution? I’m hoping for a 1920×1080 resolution, then it could really compete with the HTC J Butterfly and Oppo Find 5, since they both have 1080p displays.
