Those of you on Sprint are probably fed up with not getting LTE yet, unless you’re one of the lucky ones to be in an LTE market. But this news should cheer you up a bit. It appears that the EVO 4G LTE is set to get Android 4.1 – Jelly Bean….Today! According to this leaked document, shown below, the roll out is due to start today (11/15). So while the rest of the Android community is clawing to see if their Nexus 4 or Nexus 10 has shipped, you can get some Google Now action on your EVO 4G LTE.
Of course Sense 4 is coming along for the ride in this update, but we aren’t sure if you’ll be getting Sense 4+ or staying at Sense 4.1. But don’t expect vanilla Android from HTC. Soon you’ll be able to enjoy Google Now, Enhanced Notifications, Project Butter and all the other Android 4.1 features and enhancements.
Go ahead and check your EVO 4G LTE now for the update. Go into Settings and tap About Phone, then Check for Updates and see if you can pull the update down. So far we have no confirmation that the update is actually available, so if you can pull it down go ahead and post in the comments and let us know.
