HTC's Droid DNA Pre-Order Page Goes Live

Well, it’s certainly been a day for devices today, hasn’t it? The Nexus 4 and Nexus 10 were released into the wild from the Play Store and while I’m sure not a lot of you have been able to get their hands on them but they’re certainly out there now. Of course, Verizon weren’t content to leave all the limelight to Google and so they had staged their own event with HTC to announce and unveil the new HTC Droid DNA. We’d been hearing a lot of this device but it went official a few days back and today the official announcement confirmed a lot of things for us. The specs are now confirmed as being the following:

  • SLCD3 1080p with a mind blowing 440ppi density
  • Qualcomm S4 Pro 1.5GHz quad-core CPU
  • 2GB of RAM
  • 8MP camera rear-facing camera capable of 1080p at 30fps
  • f/2.0 2.1 MP Front-facing camera capable of 720p
  • Android 4.1 Jelly Bean with Sense 4+ on top
  • 4G LTE
  • 2.5v headset and speaker amplifier with Beats Audio
  • 2020 mAh Battery
  • 9.1mm thin

That’s right, that is a 2020 mAh sized battery on an LTE device pushing a 1080p Full HD display. Well done HTC, well done. Anyhow, the device’s pre-order page is now live and accepting orders to be shipped out on November 21st. The phone is going to set you back just $199 on contract which, when you think about it is a good deal, especially for Big Red and doubly especially for a phone that packs so much into it. So, will you be putting your name down for this device?
