The next generation of the Nexus series is finally here, and after all the rumors and speculation we finally have the facts about the new devices firmly in hand. The reviews for the LG Nexus 4 are in, and generally they’re very positive, despite the lack of 4G LTE and the somewhat “cheap” feel as described by some reviewers. But, what does all of this attention mean for LG Mobile?
It means attention, and sales, and momentum. Did you pick up one of LG’s last generation of devices? Statistically speaking, probably not. Now LG has a popular device that’s grabbing all kinds of press, and it presents an opportunity not just to push the sales of the Nexus 4 but to keep the ball rolling by pushing out devices that rival or surpass the Nexus 4 in technical specifications. Don’t sit on your heels and ride this wave LG, it’s time to push forward and eat up some of that delicious market share that Samsung is guarding so ferociously.
What does LG have in the bullpen? Some good things, and some very mediocre devices. The highlight is the Optimus G, a device that is already on the market but hasn’t yet picked up steam. This device could easily be compared to the Nexus 4, and packs a lot of great features, but nothing that’s pushing the limits:

All of these devices are good, but nothing special, except possibly the Optimus G which rivals the Nexus 4 fairly well. LG needs to start promoting and announcing newer, more powerful and exciting devices while the momentum is still on their side. Otherwise, this might be a very short lived celebration.
