Pimp my Droid Weekly 11/24/12: Jelly Bean Leak, Nexus 10, Galaxy Camera, and More

While you’re still eating leftovers from Thanksgiving, well maybe not, we here at Android Headlines have been working on gathering up some of the top rooting, ROM-ing and hacking news from the past 7 days. There’s a few new root toolkits available and a new device hits the rooted list. This is Pimp my Droid Weekly for the week of November 24th, 2012.

Android 4.2 is available for the Nexus S

When Google pushed the Android 4.2 source code into AOSP on November 13th, JBQ announced that the Nexus S and Motorola Xoom would remain on Android 4.1.2. While it was sad to hear that news, it was also cool to see these devices being supported for so long. But we knew they would see Android 4.2 through custom ROMs. And here we go. More information.

Just like it says above, this new toolkit for the HTC One X allows you to downgrade the HBoot version for the international One X variant. Thank’s to XDA member yarrimapirate. There is a similar method available for the AT&T HTC One X for those that are brave enough to attempt it. More information

ICS-Based ROMs get CyanogenMod 10’s File Manager

You know that awesome looking new Root enabled file manager on CM10? Well it’s now available on ICS-based ROMs like CM9 and others that use CyanogenMod as a source. For those who haven’t tried out CM10’s file manager, it is a thing of beauty and works extremely well.

Root achieved for the Samsung Galaxy Camera

Wow. The Samsung Galaxy Camera has been rooted. Can you imagine what you can do with this device now that its rooted? Perhaps slap Cyanogenmod 10 on it? That is going to be very awesome to check out. Can’t wait to see what can be done with this device now that it’s rooted.

Nexus 10 Root Toolkit
