So Samsung is reminding us that the Galaxy Camera will be available in the UK this week. It’ll first be available at Samsung-branded stores starting at 5pm Wednesday evening, complete with a big party and champagne. Other stores including Clove, Carphone Warehouse, Phones4U and Jessops will get the device starting Thursday. The Galaxy Camera has some nice specs including:
- 16.3-megapixel BSI sensor
- F/2.8 23mm lens with a 21x optical zoom
- Android 4.1
- Wi-Fi and GPS, 3G/HSPA+ built in
- 8GB internal storage, with a Micro SD card slot for expansion
Overall it’s a great point-and-shoot camera that you can play Angry Birds on. The Galaxy Camera will cost £399 inc. VAT, £332.50 excluding VAT. While here in the US, AT&T has said they will carry the Galaxy Camera on their HSPA+ network, but we’ve got no information on a release date for AT&T yet. Samsung brand store customers to get new connected camera from 5pm on November 7th

Samsung brand store customers will get the opportunity to buy it earlier, from 5pm on November 7th. First seen in Berlin at IFA 2012 in August, the new connected camera combines high performance photography with the cutting-edge design of Samsung’s Galaxy smartphone range.
