Now that those who were actually able to order their Nexus 4 are now getting them. Some got them yesterday and others will be receiving them on Monday or Tuesday of next week. It’s probably a good time to show you how to set up your APN (Access Point Name) on your Nexus 4, especially if you’re using a Prepaid carrier like Straight Talk. Now if you’re on a postpaid plan on AT&T or T-Mobile, you most likely don’t need to set these up because they are already pre-loaded on your SIM card, but sometimes in rooted, and flashing your phone your APN could get messed up so we’ll cover that as well.
Prepaid Carriers
The image above gives you the information for setting your APN for Straight Talk, T-Mobile’s Monthly 4G, Red Pocket Mobile and Simple Mobile. Those are the most common prepaid carriers that the Nexus 4 is or will be used on. Now, how do you get there to edit your APN or create a new one. That’ll be covered further down in this post. Feel free to skip the postpaid section if you’re on a prepaid carrier or plan.
