The Physical Google Wallet Card is Coming, Google Accidentally Confirms It

Last week, we looked at some leaked screenshots of a Google Wallet app that indicated to a possible coming of a Physical Google Wallet card, headed directly to your Wallet (literally). The card as shown in the images is will be linked to your Google Wallet account and can be used wherever Major credit cards are accepted.

We were pretty skeptical about a physical card for Google Wallet at first but today Google has just accidentally confirmed our doubts by making references to the Physical card on their Google Wallet help page. As you can see in the image above Google has made multiple references to the card and the devices that it will be compatible with on their “Eligible Devices” page. This shows that Google is ready to roll-out the physical cards to users thus updating the Help pages for the app.

No official words on the availability of this card but judging by the recent leaks it will be sooner rather than later. We are also not sure if the card will be available Internationally but we’re certain that it will be US-only just like the Google Wallet mobile app that is available for US residents only.

Do you think a Physical Google Wallet card is going to get people to use the Wallet app more?
