AH Show #19 – Samsung Device Rumors, Ingress, Nexus 4, $99 ASUS Tablet and Nexus 4 Giveway!

Once again, it’s that time of week where we kick off with an Android Headlines podcast show, we run through the biggest news pieces of the week and bring you down to earth coverage on what you love – Android. We’ve had a week break as the staff recovered from their Turkey hangovers and let the news pick up. This week the usual crew of Alexander Maxham, Chris Yackulic, Tom Dawson and Christina Gardner sat down to go through the week in news. We were also joined by our resident Ingress master from Chicago – Doug Scudder – who was a little later to the show but, keep on his posts and we’ll be seeing more from him in the future.

First up was the rumors that Samsung could be bringing a “basic” version of the Note II without a stylus to market along with a 13.3″ Android tablet with a Keyboard dock to compete against the ASUS Transformer line. We spoke a lot about Ingress and how to get started and just what is Ingress – if you’ve just gotten your invite or you’re looking to find out more ,than watch the show for some more info – Doug even throws some tips in at the end.

LG are looking to bring a 1080p phone to market next year – who isn’t at this point? – and it looks like it’ll be a successor to the Optimus G and feature the Snapdragon S4 Pro. We also took a closer look at the idea that ASUS are working on bringing a $99 Android tablet to shelves next year. Just why would such a cheap tablet be any good and, why from ASUS? The Nexus 7 seems to be doing real well at its $199 starting price point – what can shaving a $100 off of a price tag do to a device?

We had a lot of fun this week and we hope you enjoy the show, we’re always looking to improve and welcome any feedback whatsoever! Enjoy guys!
