It’s our first Ingress Show. We ran through some of the more pressing topics about the game. Including scarce invites, passcodes expiring quickly, some tips and strategies for new users and much more. We got off topic a few times, but that’s what happens when you have a bunch of Android fanatics together, even when they are talking about Ingress. The crew this week was Alexander Maxham, and Doug Scudder from Android Headlines, along with special guests Joshua Lutz from the Detroit Resistance and Justin Melville from both the Windsor and Detroit Resistance.
First up we talked about the Invite codes. Why they are so hard to come by, when the game could open up for everyone, etc. We then transitioned into the passcodes. Lately they’ve been expiring very quickly, and we just wondered why. We were also looking to see if anyone knew how to decode any of the clues found on Ingress’ website, but none of us knew how to yet.
We also talked some nice tips and strategies for new users who want to level up quickly. The most common strategy was to hack a few high level portals, L6 or higher. Those will give you great items like L8 resonators, portal keys and more. And how to grab portals that are in the middle of a body of water. It was very simple to do actually.
