It appears the Android-on-Android crime continues. This time its Samsung suing LG over a LCD patent. Regarding the AH-IPS technology used in the Nitro HD which was adapted from PLS without permission.
Leap Wireless and MetroPCS offering new financing
Well it appears that both MetroPCS and Leap Wireless are now offering no-credit-check handset financing. Which is great news considering most of MetroPCS’ customers are young adults with next to no credit.
Sony Xperia Ion now at Wind
One of Canada’s many carriers, WIND, now has the Sony Xperia Ion on sale. It’ll cost you $529 outright and features a 1.5GHz dual-core processor, Android 4.0, and 12MP camera.

The HP Touchpad, the best Android tablet that was built to run WebOS. Yeah the Touchpad is still alive and kicking and with the latest CyanogenMod builds, it’s got a working camera in Android again.
Panasonic debuting a 1080p device as well next year?
It seems everyone is bringing out a 1080p device in 2013. And of course Panasonic has to join the competition. While the device likely won’t hit the US, it’ll probably land on the shelves of NTT DoCoMo in Japan soon.
Verizon Lighting up more LTE markets
Verizon announced that more markets in Washington and Oregon will be getting LTE very soon. This comes just 2-years after launching LTE in their first markets. Job well done Verizon.
Google Play Redeem Page Now live in the UK
So that can only mean one thing, right? Google Play Gift cards are heading to the UK very soon. It’d be nice if Google can get them there before Christmas, but with the holidays less than 2 weeks away it seems very unlikely.
EE Expanding their 4G LTE to 35 new locations by March 2013
The only UK carrier to have 4G LTE right now is EE. Which is a joint carrier backed by T-Mobile UK and Orange. They are expecting to release LTE in 35 additional markets by the end of March next year.
