Next Round of Nexus 4s Start Shipping!

Well if you’re one of those that ordered your Nexus 4 on November 27th, when Google put the device back on sale, you should be receiving or have received a shipping notification. This morning many Nexus 4 buyers woke up to some great news. Their precious new Nexus 4 has shipped. Even our Editor in Chief’s Nexus 4 shipped early this morning as well. We all remember the second round of Google Play fails quite vividly, I mean it was just a week ago that it happened. Buyers were seeing shipping estimates of up to 9-10 weeks and then the 8GB Nexus 4 eventually sold out over the weekend. Now many are going to be getting their Nexus 4 either today or tomorrow. So as you can imagine there are plenty of happy future Nexus 4 owners out there today.

The Nexus 4 is Google’s latest Nexus device, a.k.a. their flagship device for 2012. It’s made by LG and is the younger brother of the Optimus G which is available on both Sprint and AT&T right now….with LTE. Here’s a quick look at the Nexus 4 specs:

  • 4.7-inch Super IPS+ Display at 1280×768 resolution
  • Quad-core Snapdragon S4 Pro processor clocked at 1.5GHz
  • 2GB of RAM
  • 8GB of 16GB internal storage
  • 2100mAh battery
  • HSPA+, Wi-Fi, NFC, Bluetooth 4.0, and Miracast connectivity
  • Android 4.2

So it’s another great device from Google, to bad they haven’t learned how to sell a device successfully yet. You know, not sell out in under 10 minutes. And not have a ton of server errors for people trying to buy the device on launch day. We saw so many problems including people adding it to their cart and then not being able to checkout. What’s up with that? Hopefully Google has learned even more from this launch and their next Nexus launch will do better. We’ll keep our fingers crossed on that one.

Don’t forget we’ve got a Nexus 4 giveaway going on, here at Android Headlines. If you haven’t already entered, make sure you do before it’s to late. Are you one of those in the US that ordered a Nexus 4 last week? Did it ship, or just have a label printed out for it?
