Nexus 10 Currently Available In Select Brick And Mortars; Better Hurry Before They Sell Out!

I know there are a lot of last minute Christmas shoppers out there and if you are one of them then we have some great news for you. The Nexus 10 has been spotted in the physical brick and mortar stores of Staples and Walmart. The sought after Samsung built, 10 inch pure Google device that has been out of stock for what seems like forever on the Google Play Store, is available for purchase today. That’s assuming that you can get to one of these stores before they sell there as well.

We all know the specs of this beast by now, but for those of you who have been living in a cave for the past couple of months here is a refresher:

  • 10 inch screen and 2560 x 1600 resolution with 300 ppi
  • Dual-core Exynos 1.7GHz processor
  • 2GB of RAM
  • 5MP rear camera which can capture video at 1080p and 30fps
  • 1.9MP front facing shooter
  • Android 4.2.1
  • 16 GB and 32 GB models

Google’s direct competitor to Apple’s iPad is also listed on the Walmart website for in store pickup as well as for delivery. However, the delivery option is only guaranteed for December 27th at the earliest. Still not a bad option considering how badly Google’s own site handled orders of the tablet.

This is eerily reminiscent of the Nexus 7 launch where people who played by the Play Store’s rules and ordered them at launch (including  some pre orders), got their device after others who were able to just walk into a store and purchase one. But hey, timing is everything in this business and maybe you held off getting one until the initial rush was over and were waiting for the right time to pounce. This could be your chance if you feel like dealing with the actual chaos created by insane last minute shoppers as opposed to the virtual variety of a million geeks all hitting F5 at the same time.

The 16 GB will still set you back $399 and the 32 GB is a hundred more at $499. Also your best bet is to either order online for in store pickup at Walmart or at the very least call ahead. Good luck everyone and happy hunting.
