Lets get our Monday started with another round of Jelly Bean update rumors. And who doesn’t love update rumors with their morning coffee and bagel? I know I do, so here we go…
This time the reports are for HTC devices and the reports are from a notoriously trustworthy source @Football4PDA who’s been dead on in the past regarding HTC information.
Currently there is just one device, the HTC One X being updated (at a snails pace) to Android 4.1.1. Also the HTC Droid DNA and The One X + are running Jelly Bean 4.1. Both great handsets but what about the rest of us? That’s where our favorite HTC mole comes in. Keep in mind that this list came out as only using the device code names. Although honestly the naming conventions of phones and tablets these days is so dizzying who could tell the difference?
Here’s the list along with code names:
- HTC One X + LTE (Evitare) – upgraded to Jelly Bean 4.2
- HTC One XL (Evita) – Ice Cream Sandwich 4.0 to Jelly Bean 4.1
- HTC Droid Incredible 4G LTE (Fireball) – Ice Cream Sandwich 4.0 to Jelly Bean 4.1
- HTC Evo 4G LTE (Jewel) on Sprint – Ice Cream Sandwich 4.0 to Jelly Bean 4.1
- HTC One VX (Totem C2) on AT&T – Ice Cream Sandwich 4.0 to Jelly Bean 4.1
- HTC One S (Ville) – Ice Cream Sandwich 4.0 to Jelly Bean 4.1
- HTC One S C2 (Ville C2) – Ice Cream Sandwich 4.0 to Jelly Bean 4.1
- HTC J ISW13HT (Valente) Japan Only – Ice Cream Sandwich 4.0 to Jelly Bean 4.1
- HTC One SV (K2) Unreleased in Europe – Could launch with Jelly Bean 4.1
So there you go. Owners of eight different HTC devices just had their Monday morning brightened up a little bit. This could very well be an incomplete list though considering it’s just a rumored one, but owners of devices such as The HTC Sensation, HTC Desire X, HTC Incredible S and The HTC Amaze, may have to start looking to either upgrade their phone or to take the root and ROM option in order to get in on some of the Jelly Bean hoopla.
HTC device owners, does this list excite or disappoint you?
