Two Rumored Samsung Phones Caught On Camera

It seems that a pair of rumored Samsung phones have finally posed for their debut pictures. Both of these handsets are rehashes of previously released versions but with minor spec bumps. Samsung has a track record of doing this so no one should be surprised. Remember the Galaxy S Plus? That was a nice little update.

First up we have The Galaxy S II Plus (I9105), which as you can tell by the name is a newer Galaxy S II. The Plus version will have the same screen (WVGA 4.3″), as well as the same cameras (8 MP rear and 2 MP in the front) as it’s slightly older brother. However this device is also rumored to have a larger battery as well as a possible faster processor. It will be released running Android Jelly Bean 4.1.

The second phone that was leaked is the Samsung Galaxy Grand Duos GT-I9082 which is obviously a second helping of the original Samsung Galaxy Duos. This handset as you can see looks alot like the Galaxy S III in design but is a bit smaller with a 4.5″ screen (480 x 800 Pixels). This handset also has the same dual cameras as the S II Plus with an 8 MP in the rear and 2 MP  in the front. This will also be served with a side of Jelly Beans.

The intriguing thing about the Grand Duos is as the name may suggest, that it’s a dual SIM phone. Dual-SIM operation allows the use of two services without the need to carry two phones at the same time. Imagine using the same phone for business and personal use with separate numbers and bills? Or what about being on a cross-country trip and switching effortlessly between AT&T and T-Mobile SIMs using whichever has the better coverage in any given location? So far these type of phones are used primarily in developing countries but maybe this one will hit our shores.

As with many rumors we don’t know everything and right now all we have are the stats and pics. Nothing on launch dates or pricing as of yet and there is speculation that they will hit in China first.

I could see both of these being great devices on a prepaid plan stateside. What are your thoughts? Anyone hoping to snatch up one of these when they become available?
