Vice City Back in the Google Play Store, Android Gamers Rejoice

Last week Android gamers everywhere cried their eyes out as the much anticipated re-release of Grand Theft Auto: Vice City was pulled from the Google Play store. Much like its predecessor – Grand Theft Auto III – the Vice City launch, was plagued with issues (hopefully someone was reprimanded for that).

Apparently, the game was affected by egregious validation errors, which left some folks unable to play the game even after making their purchase. As it would turn out, the error was caused because of a server-side issue which prevented players from connecting to the game.

This news was certainly disheartening, as many of us were jonesin’ for a chance to desecrate some pedestrians while decked out in killer 80’s threads.

Luckily, the game is available again in the Google Play store and it’s only $4.99. You’ll have to own a compatible device in order to play on the neon drowned streets of Vice City. Sorry folks, such is the nature of the Android gaming world.

The full compatibility list includes the following devices:

If you do not own one of the following devices, then you’ll have to wait a little while longer before you can pick up hookers and slaughter Vice City PD. Rockstar will be adding support for more devices over time.
