Last week we saw a picture of the Nexus 4 with Android 4.2.2 on it from Brazil. Which is where LG has a mobile phone factory that assembles the handsets for shipment, so you could see Android 4.2.2 on new Nexus 4 devices that are shipping out in the next few weeks. Which normally would suggest that there is an update coming within the next few days. Now there’s a new report about Android 4.2.2 on the Nexus 4. This time coming out of the Czech Republic. There is now a video of Android 4.2.2 running on the Nexus 4. Which is a point release to Android 4.2.1, so I wouldn’t expect a ton of changes in the update, if it ever does get released.
The video below gets a review and size comparison to the LG Optimus G, the Nexus 4’s LTE brother that’s available on Sprint and AT&T in the US. But there are no differences that can be seen in the video between Android 4.2.1 and Android 4.2.2. But if you find any differences be sure to leave them in the comments below. But it looks like all the changes are under-the-hood. Which I’m really hoping they fix the mediaserver battery drain bug.
So far we have no clue as to when Android 4.2.2 is going to drop or when it’ll be pushed to AOSP. But you’d think we should be seeing it pretty soon right? There you have it. Some more proof of Android 4.2.2. Like we said above, we have no idea when the update will be release, but I’d have to say it’s inevitable that it’ll be out pretty soon.
