Does anyone remember the Lenovo IdeaTab A2107? Of course you don’t. It was one of those tablets announced at IFA last August and we never heard anything about it again until now. The IdeaTab A2107 has been adopted by AT&T and is the carrier’s newest member of its family of tablets. This 7-inch tablet is available for $200 off contract, and if you really want a contract, it’ll cost you $100. As far as specs go, here’s the IdeaTab A2107’s complete spec sheet:
- 7-inch 1024×600 resolution display
- MTK dual-core Cortex A9 processor
- Android 4.0 – Ice Cream Sandwich
- Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.0, and FM Radio
It’s not a bad tablet for the price, although it is running an older version of Android. But Ice Cream Sandwich is better than Gingerbread, right? Of course there’s always rooting and ROMing. Of course it uses AT&T’s 3G, and possibly 4G LTE.
Lenovo is marketing this tablet as an “Ultra Portable” tablet that’s ideal for Consumers and Business customers. The IdeaTab A2107 also features an adjustable text feature, so you can fit more text on the screen. The tablet also has an internal magnesium roll cage for enhanced durability, a soft matte black cover for a better grip and a nice and bright screen for easy viewing. Even while outside.
Senior Vice president of Emerging Devices at AT&T, Chris Penrose said this about the Lenovo IdeaTab A2107:
“The Lenovo IdeaTab is a great option for those in the market for a compact, multifunctional tablet at an affordable price,”
“Connecting it to the AT&T network keeps customers connected while on the go to what matters most.”
Of course you can add the IdeaTab A2107 to your existing AT&T account with their shared plans. It’ll cost you just $10/month to share data from your IdeaTab A2107 with your other devices on your account. AT&T’s Dataconnect plans offer anything from 1GB of data all the way to 20GB.
