Android 4.1.2 hitting the Galaxy Camera
Today owners of the Samsung Galaxy Camera started getting OTA’s for Android 4.1.2, sure it’s a very small update, but it’s still great to see an update to an Android-powered camera.
Fring for Android gets Updated with UI Improvements and more
Everyone’s favorite app that allows you to send free text messages and free video and voice calls got an update today. Here’s the full changelog, and you can grab it from the Play Store.
This version includes:
- UI improvements, including a new clean, white look & feel (as requested by many loyal fringsters)
- Storyline – showing all your integrated voice, group and video calls and text messages with each contact, in chronological order.
- Address Book Scroller – to see or search all of your contacts, just fring contacts or just favorites
- Improved, richer info card for contacts
- Several bug fixes
Google’s Project Glass spotted in the wild with Prescription Lenses
Now isn’t this cool. A Project Glass prototype was spotted using prescription lenses, maybe these could replace your glasses in the future.

Amazon Slashes the Kindle Fire HD 8.9 by $50 for Students Only
If you have a student account with Amazon, you can now pick up the 8.9″ Amazon Kindle Fire HD for just $249. Not a bad price for the specs, even if it is a forked version of Android.
