Are you a sports fanatic? Then you’ll love this list. This is our Top 10 list of sports apps that are currently available in the Play Store. This list includes everything from Games, to Fantasy leagues, to scores and news from your favorite teams. Let us know in the comments below about which apps we may have overlooked and you believe should be in this list. Now let’s get started with number ten.
10. Yahoo! Sportacular
Here we have Yahoo!’s sports app. Sure it’s not the most popular, but it is a great looking app, and does just about everything you could want from a Sports app. It does include widgets, and the app can be moved to your SD card, if you have a phone or tablet that supports an SD card still.
9. NBA JAM by EA Sports
We all remember NBA JAM right? Well it’s back, and back with a vengeance. Repeat after me “BOOMSHAKALAKA!”. This used to be my favorite game on Sega, yes Sega. With this all new NBA JAM you can play with any of the 30 NBA teams and enjoy over-the-top, high-flying, 2-on-2 arcade basketball, the way it was meant to be.
8. ESPN College Football
If you follow College Football, this is hands down the best app to keep track of scores, schedules and everything in between. With ESPN College Football, you can also watch clips from games minutes after they happen. There’s also the ability to share just about everything in the app. Which is always awesome to have.
7. NBA Gametime 2012-13
NBA Game Time is the perfect app for the Basketball enthusiast. In this free app you get features like Excitement notifications, which notifies you when a game gets exciting at crunch time. There’s also a twitter stream for each game, which is always a great news source. This is a great all-in-one app, that every NBA fan will love.
6. NFL Pro 2013
From Gameloft, here is NFL Pro 2013. It’s another great game for those NFL fans out there. With much better graphics than NFL Pro 2012, it also brings you all 32 teams from the NFL and allows you to play as anyone in the NFL. This is a free-to-play game and it’s pretty amazing.
5. ESPN Fantasy Football 2012
If you’re a fantasy football player, you’re going to love this app. Even though it needs a makeover (and become holo-themed) it still serves its purpose well. This app allows you to add/drop/trade players at will and make last-second lineup changes as well.
4. ScoreMobile: Sports & Scores
Here’s another all-in-one sports app. ScoreMobile brings you live sports scores from the biggest leagues in the world. Which include NBA, NFL, NHL, NCAA, MMA, UFC, CFL, PGA, NASCAR and much more. This app has been named the “best sports app ever”. Do you agree?
3. NFL Mobile
Probably the best NFL app out there. NFL Mobile is partnered with Verizon and allows Verizon users to live stream just about any game on their device. This way you won’t miss a minute of the NFL Postseason, and you can also watch shows like NFL RedZone, in addition to getting all your news and scores.
2. MLB.com At Bat 12
Currently, Major League Baseball is enjoying their off-season. Which is why the app hasn’t been updated for 2013 yet, but this is the best MLB app on the Play Store. With MLB At Bat 12 you can stay up to date with everything happening in the league.
1. ScoreCenter for Android
ESPN’s ScoreCenter recently went over a major update and redesign. It’s now more of an Android 4.x themed app, and it looks great. With ScoreCenter you can get all your news, scores, schedules, standings and more form just about every sports league in the world.
