Here we go. The first phones being announced at CES this year are a handful of Lenovo phones. Lenovo has something for everyone with these new IdeaPhone’s. Going from entry-level to high-end. We’ve got a one with a beefy battery, a high-end device and an entry level device from Lenovo. Let’s talk about each one individually.
IdeaPhone P770
This one doesn’t look all that impressive on the outside but does have a 3500mAh battery, that’s larger than the Droid Razr Maxx HD on Verizon, along with Android 4.1 – Jelly Bean. It also has a 4.5-inch qHD IPS Display, so it’s not that great of a display, but Lenovo is claiming that it’ll last for more than 12 hours. Which is very believable since the Droid Razr Maxx HD from Motorola can last that long with a display with more pixels and a smaller battery.
IdeaPhone S890
If you don’t care to much about battery life, than the IdeaPhone S890 might be the one for you. It has a 5-inch IPS Display, and it’s about the same size as the Original Samsung Galaxy Note. It also features a 1.2GHz dual-core processor, 8MP camera, Android 4.1 and Lenovo’s custom skin on top.
IdeaPhone S720
This is Lenovo’s entry-level device and it still has some okay looking specs. It comes with Android 4.0 – Ice Cream Sandwich (bummer), a 4.5-inch qHD IPS display which is the same as on the P770. This device is positioned more for multimedia. This device also comes pre-loaded with Dolby’s audio software for some great audio from the speakers on this device. Normally this type of entry-level device would have Android 2.3 – Gingerbread, so it’s a nice OS upgrade.
This year’s CES has just begun, and NVIDIA’s press conference has just started, so be sure to keep it locked to Android Headlines for the latest from CES 2013.
