More Sony Smartphones Coming At MWC? C530X "HuaShan" Leaks Out

We all know that Sony are bringing its Xperia Z and Xperia ZL to market soon with the two devices packing in 1080p displays and quad-core processors but, Sony aren’t likely to sell just two smartphones in an entire year. Now, there are some more leaks that suggest Sony could well be bringing some more devices to market this year. It’d also make a lot of sense for Sony to unveil these smartphones at MWC next month in Barcelona. The C530X “HuaShan” is a device from Sony that has suffered the wrath of the rumor mill and has found some unflattering photos all over the web.

Sony’s “HuaShan” is a device that is joined by the C5302, the C5303 and the C5306. It’s clear that the devices are going to follow the same design Sony laid out with the Xperia Z and the Xperia ZL albeit with a few changes, which we’d assume would be made to have the devices reach lower price points. The Xperia Z and the ZL are obviously Sony’s entries into the high-end but what of their inevitable mid-range offerings?

The handsets in question are said to be come packing a 720p display, a 1.7 Ghz quad-core Snapdragon S4 Pro and Android 4.1.2 to wrap it all up. There’s no word on how much storage or RAM these devices will be shipping with but we wouldn’t be surprised to see 16GB of storage and maybe 2GB of RAM but, if Sony are aiming for the mid-rang with these devices then 1GB of RAM would be more likely.

2013 could well be Sony’s last chance to get a foothold in the mobile industry and considering they’ve traditionally lost out to the likes of HTC and Samsung worldwide, the Japanese is company will need to have a good showing at MWC next month and deliver a great number of devices to the market, both in Europe and the U.S. if they hope to knock HTC out of the market altogether.
