Report: Samsung to Launch the Galaxy S4 in May?

It’s getting to be that time of year. The time where we see tons of leaks for the new Galaxy S device, which this year should be the Galaxy S4. Now the original Galaxy S was launched in June, Galaxy S2 in April, and the Galaxy S3 was launched last May. Now a new comment coming from Samsung’s Lebanon Facebook page is pointing to a May release for their next flagship device.

Normally we wouldn’t use a Facebook page as a source but it almost makes sense to say that Samsung will launch the Galaxy S4 in May. After all that’s when the Galaxy S3 launched in 2012. It also makes a lot more sense than those rumors stating that we’ll see the monster Galaxy S4 at Mobile World Congress. Reuters also reported earlier that the Galaxy S4 would be launching in April, which could be true, but it’s definitely more believable than having it launch at Mobile World Congress. We all know that Samsung is going to have their own show to launch the Galaxy S4 and they’ll pull out all the stops. With the Galaxy S3 and Note 2 still being so popular, they may wait until June before launching it’s successor.

Now that’s just the launch of the Galaxy S4, what about the announcement? The first two Galaxy S devices were announced a few months before they were launched. But the Galaxy S3 was announced and launched in May. So we’d expect the Galaxy S4 to do the same thing as it’s predecessor.

With that we can put these CES and Mobile World Congress Galaxy S4 announcements to rest. It’s just to early for it to happen. But we will probably see some of the technology used in the Galaxy S4 shown off at both of those shows. Including the 5-inch 1080p Super AMOLED display that will probably be on display at CES. So with that being said, who’s ready for the Galaxy S4? What are your predictions on specs for this new beast? Let us know in the comments below.
