Who knows how many rumors or leaks we’ve seen or heard of for the HTC M7 device? Me either, there’s so many I’ve lost count. But this latest rumor is coming from evleaks on Twitter, who has been pretty spot on with leaks and rumors. They brought us a full press image of the Droid DNA along with the name of the device about a week before the Verizon and HTC announcement. It looks like the HTC M7 will be available three out of the four major US carriers. According to evleaks, it’ll be available on Verizon, Sprint and AT&T. Currently leaving T-Mobile out, but that might change before Mobile World Congress. It is still possible that T-Mobile could join these three, especially if HTC wants the M7 launch to be like the Galaxy S3 launch about 6 months ago.
Currently the M7 is rumored to have some pretty good looking specs, but not differ to much from the rest of the devices currently on the market or on their way. Here’s the rumored spec list:
- 4.7-inch 1080p display
- 1.7GHz quad-core Snapdragon processor
- 32GB internal storage
- 2GB of RAM
- Sense 5 with Jelly Bean (not sure if it’ll be Android 4.1 or 4.2 yet)
The HTC M7 is still rumored to be announced next month in Barcelona at Mobile World Congress. And if it is announced next month, I certainly hope that HTC will bring it to market shortly there after, with the US variants by April. That way they can beat the Samsung and the Galaxy S4 to market with their flagship M7 device. I’ve always been an HTC fan, but lately it’s been hard to be a fan of their devices, and even their software. Let’s hope they can turn it around starting with the M7 in 2013.
Who’s interested in the HTC M7? So far it’s looking like a slightly smaller version of the Droid DNA, with less red accents. Let us know in the comments below what you think about the M7.
