Samsung Galaxy Camera 2 Coming? Looks likes Yes, Model EK-GC110

While the original Samsung Galaxy Camera just made its way to Verizon a little while ago, Samsung is already hard at work on the next generation of the Camera. Now this isn’t a huge surprise since devices don’t get created over night. They take time to make. In fact, this device was probably already in the making before they announced the original Galaxy Camera.

But according to some new Bluetooth certification files, Samsung has been pretty busy with the EK-GC110 which is the new Galaxy Camera. There is a very small chance that it would be unveiled at Mobile World Congress in Barcelona next month, but it could happen. But we still have to question what the Galaxy Camera EK-GC110. Our best guess is that the EK-GC110 is the Wi-Fi only version of the device, like Samsung did with many of the Galaxy Tabs back in the day.

The pages at Bluetooth.org says that this new Galaxy Camera will have support for Bluetooth 4.0 and a series of profiles including: HSP, OPP, A2DP, AVRCP, GAVDP, HID, PAN and more. There is also talk of another version of the Galaxy Camera, specifically for Europe. Now we could see the new Galaxy Camera at Mobile World Congress, but I wouldn’t count on it. But I’m definitely sure there will be the original Galaxy Camera there for Samsung to show off, along with a bunch of other devices, new and already released including the Galaxy Note 8.0, Galaxy Note 2, and the Galaxy Note 10.1.

It’ll be interesting to see what other types of changes Samsung makes to the Galaxy Camera. It’s a pretty good looking device, although it is a bit weird since it’s running Android 4.1.2 with Touchwiz on top. But hey, we want everything to be running Android right? And this is the next step in that direction.
