Were These Pictures Taken by the Samsung Galaxy Note 8.0?

Did you think we were done hearing about the Galaxy Note 8.0 until Mobile World Congress? Well think again. We already know we’ll be seeing the device in Barcelona next month, but we still getting images of the device, and now images taken by the devices’ camera. We already know that the Galaxy Note 8.0 will have the S Pen, that’s why it’s a Galaxy Note, we also know it’ll sport a 1280×800 resolution on the 8-inch display and be powered by a 1.6GHz quad-core Exynos 4 processor with 2GB of RAM. And according to the images we saw earlier today, it looks like a giant Galaxy S3, or Galaxy Note 2.

Now according to Picasa, where these images are currently sitting, the camera was a GT-N5100 and the software version was N5100XXAMA7. In contrast the Galaxy Note 2 (International version) is GT-N7000. Now it is possible that this data was faked, it has been done before. But normally when there are fakes, or hoaxes they are renders of a device, or specs. Not images taken with the devices’ camera. So we urge you to take this with a grain of salt but the images do look pretty good for a tablet camera. They aren’t the best, and won’t replace your DSLR. But for a tablet camera, they are pretty good images.

Although at the rate this device is leaking, by the time Mobile World Congress comes around in late-Februrary (officially begins February 25th) there won’t be much for Samsung to say about the device that we don’t already know. But as we know from the past, Samsung always has a few things up their sleeve for announcements. I just really hope that this is not a phone/tablet. Although it would be nice to be able to have calling available on your tablet, holding this thing up to your ear is going to be very weird. Especially if you thought the Galaxy Note 2 was to big for that.

What do you think of these images? Fake or real? Let us know your thoughts down in the comments below.
