A Dutch website has shown off what very well could be the ASUS MeMo Pad 10, which sports a 10-inch display with a fairly reasonable quad-core 1.2 GHz NVIDIA Tegra 3 processor. The display itself is touted to carry a resolution count of 1,280 x 800 pixels, where it is accompanied by 1GB RAM on board alongside 16GB of internal storage space in the form of flash memory.
Images of ASUS MeMo Pad 10 (ME301T), the company’s upcoming 10-inch Tablet has surfaced online. The specifications of the tablet surfaced last month, and it was rumoured to show up in CES 2013.
Of course, just in case 16GB is not good enough for you, there is also a microSD memory card slot, and a 5-megapixel camera at the back with Android 4.1 Jelly Bean as the operating system of choice rounding off the list of features. The connectivity features include Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth 3.0 + EDR and a GPS. A bunch of Dutch retailers have already started to take pre-orders for the ASUS MeMo Pad 10.
The ASUS MeMo Pad 7 which was launched a few days after CES, was packed with a powerful VIA WM8950 and 1GB RAM. A 7″HD Display with 10 finger multi-touch. It also sported a front HD camera. Weighing 358g and being 11.2 mm thick, it had 8GB internal storage and a micro-SD card support that supported expandable memory up to 32GB.
The ASUS MeMo 10 is likely to come only in Wi-Fi version without a keyboard dock. It is on sale from online retailers in Netherlands and Italy for 299 Euros. The tablet comes in Crystal White, Midnight Blue and Hot Pink colours, but Asus yet to confirm the features and the price of the tablet. Hope we can expect Asus to show off the Tablet at MWC 2013.
It’s obvious that ASUS is attempting to push the MeMO Pad as a productivity device, with another highlight of the MeMO Pad being the 5GB of free web storage that ASUS is throwing in. 50GB would be more appropriate given the competition from services like Dropbox and Box, but, hey, you can’t argue with free.
Are you looking forward to the ASUS MeMo Pad 10?
