Here in the US, it’s almost Tax time. Income taxes are due April 15th, so why not provide you with some great apps to file your taxes this year? We’ve gone through the entire Play Store and found 10 great apps to help you get your income taxes prepped and done and ready to be submitted to the IRS, and we threw in a couple other goodies that will be helpful as well.

10. UK Tax Rebate

If you’re in the UK, you can use this simple app to check and see if you’re eligible for tax rebate. Since you can’t always assume that the tax office will notify you, it’s always best to check yourself. It’s quick, easy and best of all it’s free.

9. Ask A Tax Preparer

With this app, you can get instant answers to thousands of tax questions. These are questions for both individuals and businesses. Oh did I mention it’s all free? Well it is. This is the tax reference tool you’ll want to use all year long. So make sure you have it handy.

8. BNA Quick Tax Reference

This is Bloomberg’s handy little quick tax reference guide. It gives you access to US tax rates and schedules with just a few clicks. This app is very easy to use and includes tax rates and retroactive ones back to 2011. It was also just updated with 2013 tax rates.

7. Sales Tax Calculator

This app is just a simple sales tax calculator that you can use all year-long. This app also saves the sales tax rate for you, so every time you use the app you don’t have to reenter it again. It’s a great app, with a very old interface (devs please update it), but it works for what its intended to do.

The MyTaxRefund app from TurboTax is one of the best apps available for your Android phone ro tablet. It allows you to quickly check the status of your returns after you’ve filed them. Also allows you to get a quick estimate of when you can expect your refund.

The Jackson Hewitt tax service app is a free app that you can benefit from the expertise of professional income tax preparers. With the app you can estimate your refund, start your tax return early, and much more.

4. H&R Block

As most of you know, tax season is a busy question filled time. With this new H&R Block app you can get help from experts with over 50 years of tax experience. You can upload your documents and send them to your tax pro, check the status of your refund, estimate your tax refund and much more.

3. Liberty Tax App

With the Liberty Tax app you can find your nearest Liberty Tax location using the GPS in your device, call them directly with a single click and more. The app also features a Tax Tip of the Day and links to their Facebook and Twitter feeds.

With TaxCaster from TurboTax, you can get a quick estimate of your 2012 federal tax refund anytime, anywhere using your phone or tablet using this app. It’s a quick, easy and free app, so why not use it?

It’s never been simpler to file your taxes. Using TurboTax’s SnapTax you can snap a photo of your W-2, answer some questions, then file the app or you can finish on the web, and you’re all set. The app is free to download, and you don’t pay until you submit your taxes, which is $25 to file your federal taxes.
