As we get closer and closer to the launch of the Galaxy S IV, we’re starting to hear more about what features the upcoming smartphone might feature. We’ve already heard a little about their own implementation of Android’s Photosphere but now, details of a more practical addition to the phone are surfacing. With the Galaxy S III, Samsung promised that they would have a health accessory to go with it but, it only made a brief appearance and I’m sure many of you reading this might not have even known about it.
Well, this time around it’s said that Samsung are going to have a better go at it and with the Galaxy S IV there will be a “health pad” accessory that will enable users to take readings of their blood pressure, glucose levels, BMI, pulse rate and the like. The S Health application that is not only appropriately named as something to come from Samsung but it’s supposed to help the user keep a record of these important readings. It might sound a little gimmicky but smartphones have massive potential in keeping records of your personal health. If only because it’s the most convenient way to do so. If S Health can help people track their insulin levels, keep their blood pressure in check and things like that, then I’m all for it.
There’s little info surrounding the inclusion of a health pad accessory but Korean publication, Daum, seems to think it a very real possibility, and it’s not outside the realms of possibility. When you think about it, Samsung has been the one company that believes in throwing features at devices to have them stand out from the crowd, while it worked with the Galaxy S III, does that guarantee it’s going to work with the Galaxy S IV? Who knows but, we do know that the device is apparently being announced next month so, there’s not all that long for us to wait.
Let’s face facts here, no matter what the Galaxy S IV comes with, it’s still goingto shift a whole lot of units, right?
