For those of you saving up to go to Google I/O this year. We already know that it’s taking place May 15-17th in San Francisco. Now we know that registration will open up on March 13th at 7am PDT. The image on Google’s site also states “In the meantime, be sure to set up your Google+ and Google Wallet Accounts” which kind of hints that you’ll need to use both accounts to register for Google’s three-day developer conference which takes place every year.
So if this information is true, you’ll be able to register about two months before the event on March 13th. But just like with the Nexus 4, tickets are going to sell rather quickly and you’ll have plenty of server issues. It happens every year. Although, we’re hoping that Google will get things together and surprise us for Google I/O 2013. You may remember that last year, Google I/O tickets sold out in less than 30 minutes. So not quite as fast as the Nexus 4 on launch day, but pretty quick nonetheless.
Now the next question is, what are we going to see at Google I/O? Well we are very sure we’ll see the next version of Android, hopefully Android 5.0 – Key Lime Pie along with a new Nexus 7. We’ll probably also see some new stuff for other Google products like Chrome and Chrome OS, Google+, Project Glass and the rest of their products. But since we are an Android news site, we’ll be focusing in on the Android portion of it. We’re definitely hoping to see big things in the next version of Android, along with a Nexus 7 refresh from ASUS, hopefully with the Tegra 4 or Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 800 processor. We could go on forever with speculation, but we’ll leave that up to you in the comments section below.
