So you just got your brand new Android phone or tablet. Now you want to customize your device so it looks awesome, right? Well luckily we are here to help you get into customizing your Android device. There are a few different ways you can change the wallpaper on your device. Which we will be going over, in this guide.
Changing the Wallpaper from your Home Screen
1. Turn on your phone/tablet 2. From the Home screen, long press on the home screen. You should then see a popup similar to the one in the screenshot below
3. Next you’ll want to select Wallpapers (Note: Some devices will ask you if you want to change it for the home screen, lock screen or both before continuing to the next step) 4. You’ll now be able to choose wallpapers from the gallery, or choose from Live wallpapers or regular wallpapers that came pre-installed on the device. Select the one you desire.
5-1. If you choose from the gallery you need to follow these steps:
- Select the album that the image you want as a wallpaper is in
- Next select the image you want as your wallpaper
- Next you’ll need to crop the image
- Once it’s at your desired size and area, Select ‘OK’ in the top right-hand corner
5-2. If you are choosing from the wallpapers pre-installed you will need to follow these steps:
- Scroll left or right to the wallpaper you desire
- Once that wallpaper is showing in the background on that screen, select “Set Wallpaper” in the center below the selector.
6. That’s it
Changing your Wallpaper from within the Settings
1. Turn on your device 2. Pull down your notifications and tap the Settings icon or open the app drawer and swipe over to the Settings app and tap on it. 3. Next tap on ‘Display’ in the ‘Device’ section
4. Then tap on ‘Wallpaper’
5-1. You’ll now be able to choose wallpapers from the gallery, or choose from Live wallpapers or regular wallpapers that came pre-installed on the device. Select the one you desire. 6-1. If you choose from the gallery you need to follow these steps:
- Select the album that the image you want as a wallpaper is in
- Next select the image you want as your wallpaper
- Next you’ll need to crop the image
- Once it’s at your desired size and area, Select ‘OK’ in the top right-hand corner
5-2. If you are choosing from the wallpapers pre-installed you will need to follow these steps:
- Scroll left or right to the wallpaper you desire
- Once that wallpaper is showing in the background on that screen, select “Set Wallpaper” in the center below the selector.
