HTC One to Launch in the UK on March 15th, Through Vodafone and Clove

We’ve been covering news one the HTC One at Android Headlines all day. In fact, there’s been so much information flooding our gates, that we’re practically up to our knees in HTC related stories. Despite the increase in topics, information from HTC on the release date of their latest flagship, has been scantily clad. At least HTC did mention that the phone will be available sometime around March-ish. Well, to be fair, they did say ‘late March’, but we all know that such a confirmation is hardly a guarantee in the mobile industry.

Luckily, Vodafone and Clove are here to save the day, at least in the UK! Yes, I meant to use a rhyme there, what of it?

If you’re planning on buying the HTC One from Vodafone or Clove in the UK, you’ll be happy to know that it’s expected to ship on March 15th. Even better, Vodafone reached out to Android Police in a statement, confirming the time in a more formal manner.

Just a quick note to confirm that Vodafone will be offering the HTC One for sale from 15th March 2013, with pre-order opening two weeks before.

Keep in mind this doesn’t mean that the HTC One will launch on March 15th globally. It’s likely we’ll see separate release dates for different countries. It’s a carrier issue, and it’s near impossible to launch a device on every carrier at the same exact time. Then again, stranger things have happened in the mobile industry before.

The release date can be viewed on the HTC One product page at Clove’s website. As you can see from the image, it clearly states that the first stock is expected to arrive on the 15th of March. Also visible on the site, is the price of the handset. Both versions of the HTC One (Glacial Silver and Stealth Black) are listed at £425.00, or £510.00 including vat fees.

Even though, Vodafone may not be opening up pre-orders for a little while longer, anyone interested in getting a headstart can pre-order the One right now through Clove.

All this talk of the HTC One is truly getting me excited about the device. If the hype turns out to be unwarranted, I’m not going to be a happy camper. Then again, I’m sure most of you feel the same way.
