Vince Vaughn and Owen Wilson are going to be holding a hangout on Google+ to talk about their new movie “The Internship”. Of course this is to promote the movie, but what better way to promote a movie about working at Google then doing it on a Google+ Hangout on Air? There really isn’t any better way. I love seeing this kind of technology used for things other than podcasts or chatting with your friends. The two have the hangout scheduled for February 13th at 11AM PT (2pm EST, 7pm GMT).
For those of you that have not heard of “The Internship” yet, it’s about two men in their 40s who lost their jobs and are attempting to make a career comeback by becoming interns at an internet startup. Google recently opened up their Mountain View campus to Vince Vaughn and Owen Wilson for filming, which means we may see some cameos from our favorite Googlers.
The official Google+, Google+ account (that sounds weird) mentioned that they will be talking about life at Google. Which means it might be quite interesting and worth a peak. You can also send the two, questions using the #TheInternship hashtag on Google+, they might answer your question(s) during the hangout. You can also RSVP for the event here.
This is bound to be a pretty funny movie, but it might not be a funny hangout. But who knows. I know I’ll be tuning into the hangout to see what happens. The hangout will be hosted by Conan, so it could be pretty funny. We’ll have to wait and see. Now who’s excited?
Just last month, it was announced that The Internship was done filming and would be opening up in Theaters in June. Just a few weeks after Google I/O. So I wonder if Google will say anything about the movie at Google I/O? Doubtful but it could happen. Either way it’s going to be a funny movie. Who’s going to check out the hangout, and the movie when it hits theaters in June?
