Today is a big day for HTC, it’s the unveiling of their new flagship, and perhaps something else, and you’d think that they’d be running a tight ship when it comes to keeper all of the details under wraps. Right? Wrong. The latest flagship from HTC is quite possibly the worst kept secret in the smartphone industry, well, maybe the Nexus 4 was worse than this but the M7 – or the HTC One – had been leaked all over the place and with less than an hour to go before the event starts, you’d think that they’d be no more leaks, right? Wrong again, from Telefonio.it comes a hands-on preview of the device before it gets officially unveiled.
From the preview, the design of the device is shown off a little more and the speakers of the device are detailed a little more. We’ve all speculated that the two grills on the front of the device were stereo speakers and thanks to this preview, we now know that they’re just that. The front speakers of the device are said to hit around 98 dB, which is loud by most tablet standards. Sense 5 is on display as well, and there are some interesting clarifications on specs.
The HTC One previewed in the video is said to come packing:
- 4.7″ 1920 x 1080 Super LCD Display
- Quad-Core Snapdragon 600 CPU
- 2GB of RAM
- 32GB of Internal Storage
- 2230 mAh battery
- Android 4.2
We’ve long thought that the HTC One would hit the market with a quad-core Snapdragon S4 Pro, and it still could do but, this would suggest the newer Snapdragon 600 is going to be at the heart of HTC’s latest and greatest. Hopefully, this turns out to be true, as the HTC One doesn’t seem to be bringing anything too new to the table and with Samsung looming over everyone else, HTC have to pull something good out of the bag.
Take a look at the video below and sit tight for more info from the event!
