Lately, TmoNews has been killing it with leaks about T-Mobile’s upcoming UNcarrier changes. Today, they’ve come across quite a few images that detail the prices for a variety of different phones on their network. The Equipment Installment Plans are now ranging from $2-20. Now the thing here with their new plans, and no more contracts, that needs to be explained is that your are NOT paying full price for your phone. You are paying a down payment, somewhere between $0-280. Then you’re paying an EIP every month for about 20 months or so. You’ll see that in the images below.
We’re expecting all of these changes to start sometime next week. Since T-Mobile has their own event going down March 26th in New York City. The changes may not take place for a few more weeks. We’ll have to wait until March 26th to see for sure. TmoNews has plenty of details here. T-Mobile has phones on their value plan like the Nexus 4, HTC One S, Galaxy Note 2, HTC Radar 4G, Samsung Galaxy S Blaze 4G, and many more. Both low-end and high-end devices.
Now there are some new phones that are absent from these slides including the HTC One, Galaxy S4, Blackberry Z10, and the iCrap iPhone. Now of course this is leaked information and not confirmed nor official. So these prices are subject to change and some of these phones might disappear.
The Classic Plans and Value plans have already been leaked and look pretty good. Especially since there are no overages for data. But I’ll be crossing my fingers hoping for a data-only plan. Then I can use Google Voice and just pay for HSPA+/LTE. Am I the only one wanting a data-only plan?
