Mobiroo Introduces New "All You Can App" Service for Paid Android Apps

It’s quite obvious that many people don’t like paying for apps. That’s why Dead Trigger went on sale for free instead of $0.99 last year, and why Falcon Pro hit it’s Twitter token limit so fast. It also didn’t help when Google changed it’s return window from 24-hours to just 15-minutes. But Mobiroo is looking to change that with their new subscription service.

Mobiroo is a Canadian startup who has an all-you-can-download service that lets you download as many apps as you want for a monthly price. Currently its $2.49/month, normally its $4.99/month. It’s kinda like Netflix or Hulu+ for apps. It’s basically a third-party app store like Android Pit, that has forged deals with a few Android developers to include their content in the store. You’ll basically just install mobiroo just like any other app, then search and browse for an app you want to download. Mobiroo will then push an APK to your device for you to install it manually.

There is a catch though. Apps are wrapped in DRM that deactivates the apps if you stop paying the subscription. Although Mobiroo has been pretty reluctant to make that clear. There’s only one statement in their help center that confirmed canceling your account will indeed revoke access to downloaded apps. But of course it was buried, so you have to do quite a bit of digging.

The app itself is pretty good looking and is holo themed. Now the selection of apps, it’s not bad, but its nothing compared to the Play Store of course. There are some apps you might recognize like Cogs, Riptide GP, Quell Reflect and Falcon Pro, but there’s also a ton of junk unfortunately. You can get a 7-day free trial of the service, the 50% off subscription price is going right now, but we have no idea when it’ll got to its regular price of $4.99. We’ll keep you posted though.
