Today has just been full of X phone and Galaxy Note 3 rumors. Makes you think both devices are launching the next month. Well the X Phone is supposedly launching at Google I/O which starts May 15th, which is about 6 weeks away. As always, be sure to take this with a grain of salt. Phone Arena spoke with their source again, and it looks like some of the information from earlier today was not accurate and that the X Phone is still on track for Google I/O.
Phone Arena is saying that the biggest error in the report from earlier is that the release window was wrong. Their source is saying the X Phone is still planned to be released around the end of June or early July. Which fits in perfectly if the device is unveiled in May at Google I/O. The source wasn’t able to tell Phone Arena about many of the specs but they are expecting a Maxx-sized battery which could be around 3300mAh. Which is a big difference from the 4000mAh in the rumor. We also shouldn’t expect futuristic materials, but only specifically ruled out the flexible displays which Samsung showed off at CES, and said nothing about the Sapphire glass.
Since the X Phone is on track for announcement at Google I/O, that makes it pretty unlikely to have the Snapdragon 800 processor from Qualcomm in it. Now remember, Google Execs have already tried to lower our expectations on the X Phone, which could mean a couple of things. It’s not as good as we were hoping it would be. Or lowing our expectations and then throwing out an amazing device would make us all buy a ton of them.
Another rumor here to get you excited about the X Phone. If you aren’t excited about it yet, what is it going to take? I know I’m excited and can’t wait for Google I/O in May. Let us know in the comments below what you’re expecting with the X Phone.
