Well Sam Mobile is at it again. Now before we get started, we need to warn you that this is a rumor and to take with a grain of salt. This information could be true, it could also be fake. Lately, Sam Mobile has been right on target though.
According to Sam Mobile’s insider, Samsung is busy with another high-end tablet with a Super AMOLED full HD display. Samsung has been receiving a ton of positive feedback on their AMOLED display panels and this is why they are continuing to use that technology. The insider told Sam Mobile that Samsung is looking to create a premium tablet that will compete with Sony’s new Xperia Z tablet, and Apple’s iPad. But the insider couldn’t tell what size the display would be. They are expecting either 10.1-inch or 11.6-inch display. And currently, Samsung has prototypes developed with both screen sizes and a few other sizes.
About two years ago, Samsung brought the Galaxy Tab 7.7 to the market. It had a Super AMOLED Plus display. Now many users of the Galaxy Tab 7.7 believe it’s the best tablet out there thanks to the display. Although I’d disagree, mostly because I personally don’t like the AMOLED displays and prefer HTC’s Super LCD3 displays.
This time around, Samsung is looking to take the Galaxy Tab series to a whole new level this year. Samsung already has the Nexus 10, which they developed with Google and has that amazing 2560×1600 resolution display. I currently have the Nexus 10 here, and I’ve gotta say it’s the best looking display on a tablet I’ve seen in quite some time, perhaps ever.
Sam Mobile’s insider has also confirmed that Samsung will be using their Exynos 5 processors inside their newest line of tablets. Their insider also gave more information leading to the Galaxy Tab 3 being announced at IFA in September along with the Galaxy Note 3. So we’ll be looking for a new line of Galaxy Tabs at the end of the summer. Hopefully they are some nice looking tablets.
