Rumor: Samsung's Galaxy Note 3 Featuring an Unbreakable Display?

Have you had enough rumors yet today? Well just in case here’s another one. We’ll be taking this one with the same grain of salt that we use on the others. The Galaxy S4 hasn’t even been announced for 2 weeks yet, and we are already seeing a ton of different Galaxy Note 3 rumors. Including this rumor of it having an unbreakable display. You’ll probably recall that the Galaxy S4 doesn’t have an unbreakable display, well that’s because it doesn’t.

Now according to a South Korean publication, Asiae, the unbreakable display will be one of the big features in the Galaxy Note 3. Along with that, current rumors are pointing at a 5.9-inch display with a flexible AMOLED display and a resolution of 1920×1080, giving it a 1080p display but a lower PPI than the Galaxy S4, HTC Droid DNA, Xperia Z, and HTC One among the other 1080p phones coming out this year.

There is no confirmation to this yet, but it would be great to see an unbreakable display on Samsung’s other flagship device. But on the other hand, you’re going to have people trying to break the display to say it’s not unbreakable. The Galaxy Note 3 is also said to have 2GB of RAM, 8MP camera (probably 13MP by now, since the Galaxy S4 has a 13MP), Android 4.2 – Jelly Bean or later, and the Exynos 5 Octa processor which is only in 30% of the Galaxy S4’s being shipped.

Also, there is no word on the design of the Galaxy Note 3, but if the Galaxy S4 is any indication, I wouldn’t expect to see any major design changes between the Galaxy Note 2 and Note 3. But then I could always be wrong, this wouldn’t be the first time. We are expecting to see it announced in September at IFA in Berlin. So we should see an Unpacked Episode 2 either days before or after the conference in Berlin this September.
