Samsung clearly think they have something truly spectacular to announce this coming Thursday and, who could blame them? The South Korean giant has been riding of wave of success ever since the Galaxy S III launched in the US and with more than 40 Million units sold, there are high hopes for the Galaxy S IV. Nobody seems more excited than our friend Jeremy, a young boy who is turning out to be a mascot of sorts for Sammy and it would appear he’s been given his own S IV to take home. Samsung has just released the second part to its teaser campaign that it is not only trying to hype up their latest product but also trying to tug at our heart-strings it would seem as Jeremy represents the excited child inside of us all. Or at least, that’s what Samsung is hoping for.
This latest part of the teaser sees Jeremy take Pandora’s box upstairs to his room and take a few sneak peeks at the device, which he describes as “unreal, totally amazing” which we’re sure must be the best Samsung’s awesome magical adjective machine could come up with. The whole thing is a little contrived but, if Samsung are starting their marketing machine off like this, then it could be the start of another massive ad campaign like the one we saw with last year’s Galaxy S III.
Story wise, nothing much happens to Jeremy in this second part of the – presumably – 3 part teaser campaign. There’s a cameo with a few Oreo cookies and the quintessential family dog but, there’s no sneak peek at the device for us, Jeremy is left to have all of the fun. It looks like part 3 is, in fact going to be the “big day” for Jeremy as we witness his alarms go off and his sweet Mom bringing him his bow tie.
I wonder what Samsung have in store for part 3? Will Jeremy be on stage for the live event? Will he take the lead in front of JK Shin? Until Thursday folks…
