We’ve already seen some benchmarks for the Galaxy S4. Now some more for the US version with the Snapdragon 600 clocked at 1.9GHz have popped up over at Geekbench. As you can see in the image above, it scores 3163 which is double the Galaxy S3, iPhone 5 and Blackberry Z10. It doesn’t quite double the HTC One, but it does beat it by quite a bit. It seems like the Snapdragon 600 at 1.9GHz along with 2GB of RAM is really wiping the floor with the competition.
Now the scary part of all of this. This is supposedly the slower one. Since the International one will have the Exynos 5 Octa with the Imagination GPU. So it’s going to be a whole lot faster and I’m going to say it will triple the iPhone 5 and Blackberry Z10 benchmarks. Benchmarks don’t tell the entire story about the device, but we already knew it had pretty good hardware.
I’m sure in the next few months we’ll see some new devices that will score even higher. Especially when the Snapdragon 800 appears, and LG’s octa-core processor they are said to be working on. But for now, when you get your Galaxy S4, you’ll have some big bragging rights. Especially over your iPhone friends, maybe you can talk them into switching to Android?
The scary thing is still that Samsung might leave Android. We did a couple posts over the weekend of how Samsung is going to go full on Tizen over the next two years. If you watched Unpacked then your probably noticed that they did not mention Android at all. They’ve also recreated just about every feature in Android and put an S in front of it. But that’s a story for another day
